  • About MJW Promotions

MJW Promotions really begun life in 2007, the first ever service we offered was portfolio building for wannabe models, this quickly led to taking photographs of bands at gigs.

Since those humble beginnings, MJW Promotions has looked at various different ways of building a business, and it took a while to find the right balance, but the general feeling these days is that we are just about there.

Based in Watford, MJW Promotions offer various services, our goal is help our clients to promote their products and services. We do this is various ways, sometimes simply being the link between the service provider and their customers, sometimes becoming distributors and dealing direct with customers, and sometimes working with others to bring our ideas into reality.

We also check out various business opportunities and when we feel the opportunity is good we then actively encourage others to become involved with the opportunity and give them the chance build up an income for themselves.

In early 2012, we looked at everything we were doing and realised that we were offering too many services, and potential clients and customers were getting confused about what services we were offering. This led to the formation of MJW Energy Solutions where we offer services related to saving householders money on their utility bills. This left MJW Promotions offering fewer but more specific services with music promotion being the key service.

We are proud members of Business Network International (BNI) and are By Official Appointment of Watford Football Club.

For more information on everything we do, please visit our websites http://www.mjwp.biz and http://mjw-energy.co.uk. THANK YOU.

  • About ROC(K)TOBER!!

From an e-mail to a reality!!

In June 2010, the offer of a birthday night out led to me being at a gig in London, one of the bands onstage was Achilla, fronted by a female singer (this being Martamaria). Other bands played on that stage, but it was Achilla who I felt stood out from the others - it was the band’s style and Martamaria’s awesome vocal range that led to this conclusion.

Since then, I have been to many gigs, seen some great bands (and some awful ones too), and build up contacts along the way.

Fast forward to March 2012 and I think about staging my first ever gig, something I had considered before but never actually did because life got in the way. So, to stage a gig you mainly need two things… musicians and a venue… I immediately thought of Achilla and my nearest venue, this being Watford Colosseum.

So, I sent an e-mail to Martamaria asking if Achilla would be interested in being part of a show in Watford, the response was a definite ‘YES’ and basically my first band was on board. From there, both myself and Martamaria made contact with others we knew in the music industry regarding the setting up of the show. After a while, the band Hannibal became involved and this led to the involvement of John Georgousis, the Managing Director of G-LIVE Music Productions in Greece - this was the first step into finding a headliner for the show. The support act slots filled up fairly quickly with Jaded Heart, Spit Like This and Orpheum making almost instantaneous decisions, the headline act took a little longer but in the end we got the great news that Edguy had agreed to headline the show.

So, we had a date (13th October) at a venue (Watford Colosseum) with six bands in agreement to play, therefore we had a mini-festival, and all festivals should have a name… welcome to ROC(K)TOBER!!

From writing a simple e-mail, we now have the reality of what will be one of the best gigs ever, that is until we do it all again next year!!

Therefore, a lot of hard work has be done to bring ROC(K)TOBER!! to you, but it was worth it. All you need to do is buy your ticket and enjoy the show!!
